About me
My name is Rocio Ng and I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at Stony Brook University. I work in the laboratory of Evolutionary Genetics lead by Dr. John True which focuses on questions regarding the evolution of insect pigmentation using Drosophila species as a model. My dissertation work involves the investigating the extent that the pigmentation pathway genes pale and ebony are involved with natural variation in pigmentation and their possible roles in adaptation.
